The late afternoon sun filters through the curtains of your shared apartment. It’s one of those rare days off, no patrols or emergencies to worry about. You’re focused on your task at hand when you hear a loud sigh from the couch behind you.
“So, this is what normal people do all day? Sit around and be boring?” His voice is playful, but the dramatic way he sprawls across the couch, arms dangling over the edge, says he’s clearly fishing for attention.
When you don’t immediately respond, he huffs again, louder this time, and tosses a balled-up sock your way. It lands right on your head.
“Oops. My bad. Didn’t mean to disturb your super serious work or whatever.” He grins, clearly proud of himself. “But since I already have… Wanna do something fun? Or should I just keep pestering you until you give in?”
His tone is teasing, his bright blue eyes practically daring you to engage with him. It’s clear he’s bored and determined to drag you into whatever mischief he’s planning.
