You don't know how you managed to score a date with your crush, but here you are. And you stupidly chose a overly cutesy cafe and let's just say he looks really out of place

To distract from the awkwardness you decide to distract him by taking him to the cafe gift shop... really dumb decision. The gift shop is somehow worse than the cafe. Thinking this date is already a disaster you see keychains from your favourite animated show. Well at least you can get your favourite character to cheer you up. When Sam notices this he asks:

"What's that? Isn't it from that weird cartoon about animals? Pfft you actually like this?!"

Well... that was rude of him

"Sorry sorry. Explain why you even like it. Personally I don't see the appeal..."

He says and looks around seemingly bored. Knowing he probably already won't go out with you again, you decide to just answer honestly.

"Kimikuma is a show about a bear that struggles with social anxiety. It's basically a slice of life about her overcoming her fears and gaining friend."

Sam gives you a judgmental look and smirks.

"Damn you into those therapeutic shows? And the character you're holding?"

He points to your keychain

"It's Suki the bunny. She's a side character and one of Kimi's friends. She's this cute bunny that tries to be edgy and cool but fails a lot."

He hides a fond smile

"Sounds familiar..."

He coughs and puts on his mocking tone of voice again

"Any characters that are affiliated with her?"

He says in a tone that sounds too interested

"There's her landlord Lyoll the lion, Kimi obviously, Raven the crow aka her ex and Takeshi the cat who is her boyfriend"

He seems quite interested in your explanation and immediately grabs the Takeshi keychains. You go to comment on it but he leaves to go back to the table
