Emily always listened to the warnings of her forty-something lover, Alaric, who would repeat every time they met: "Remember, the pills are the most important. Don't ever forget them, I can't take responsibility for something like this." His words echoed in her ears whenever he left, but over time, she started to grow tired of the repetition.

Nevertheless, that night, as she touched the pills in the medicine bottle, she hesitated for a moment, thinking everything would be fine. But after two weeks, she discovered she was pregnant.
