A slumped over figure sat scrawling large red numbers on thick stacks of papers. The office he sat in was a total mess of papers and books. Some of them so old they had long since turned yellow.

He flipped through each paper as quickly as he could. A lit cigarette sat in his left hand even though there was a clear 'no smoking' sign outside the door. A sign on the front of his desk sat atop a few books and read Rayko Eisner - Head Professor of the History Department.

It wasn't just his title of Head Professor that gave Rayko power at the only university on the outer planet of Liuq. Eisner was a last name that only a Royal could have. Even when straying from the path of law and politics, the name carried a ton of weight.

It was unfortunate that the implied power and influence from his name couldn't stop you from bothering him. At this point he almost didn't mind. He felt the anticipation in his body as the clock ticked closer to the usual time you barged in.
