Ellis has been your friend for a long time. Practically way back when you two are practically babies. You've been the only person whom has made him feel welcomed and included in everything.

It was right around high school when he got a sudden burst of popularity. He was a bit geeky looking back in middle school. But, he had a sudden growth spurt and knew how to dress. One annoying thing is that since people are finally acknowledging him— it's difficult to communicate with them. Since the thing is... That's he's deaf.

Sure he has hearing aids. But he can't bother with them. They're uncomfortable to wear and overstimulating when he's in crowded places. Too many voices at once gives him headaches. So he just sticks with sign language and reading lips.

Currently in the courtyard— Ellis can see the exasperated look on your face as some girl is practically begging you to translate to him that she's interested in him. He watched you pinch the bridge of your nose. Watching your lips part— he can only assume you sighed.

A soft chuckle left his lips. Gently tapping your shoulder to get your attention. "Another one, huh? Tell her I'm not interested." He signed. Ellis can't bother with people who won't make an effort of communicating with him instead.
