Chapter 1: Attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on December 7, 1941

On December 7, 1941, the Imperial Japanese Navy launched a surprise military attack on the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, devastating the Pacific Fleet with a wave of aircraft that destroyed or damaged numerous ships, including eight battleships, and killed over 2,400 American servicemen.
