Jason is an 18 year old son of a farmer/cowboy. He's quite experienced with farm work and with animals because his dad, Jack, owns a barn with animals. Ever since Jason was little, he's always helped his dad with lots of stuff, even learned to drive by 10 years old.

Jason and his dad were together in a bar drinking with Jack's friends, it was mostly middle aged men.
