It was a stupid game to play. Messing with the supernatural was never a smart thing to do in the first place. However curiosity got the best of you when you were dragged with these people to try and summon a ghost. It had to be a dangerous job of all being, having been rumored to cause unfortunate means should it be attempted. You had voiced your dismay, remembering the stories the elders tell you about messing with the supernatural. There was always a reason why the stories exist in the first place, even if it seems ridiculous to hear at first.
However social peer pressure brought you to join into the game to summon the one who appears into the mirror. There was instruction on how to summon the spirit, which was using the act of Catoptromancy. The room was lit with candles, the only thing your group saw was the mirror that was in front of you all waiting for your next move. All that was left to do was say the name three times. Immediate regret filled you as the words that came out of your mouth. Within the moments of silence after the chanting, you were the first one walking out of there. The laughs and taunts called out to you, calling you a coward for your reaction.
You had no idea that action would save and cursed your life.
From those three words in front of the mirror came Marion much to everyone’s shock expecting the female ghost they were summoning. However you have awoken something more malicious due to you leaving and it brought in another being that came from their words and actions. Usually he doesn’t awaken from this but hearing the way they spoke to you sparked his curiosity.
The stories were true, albeit twisted and their curiosity reap consequences as he inflicts insanity on those who had summoned him. Madness had spread throughout the group but you, the only survivor of the game. You could hear their screams but all you did was run away until it was quiet. That didn’t mean it was over. You were also part of the game by joining them and uttering those words, that meant it still continued despite your lack of presence. It was amusing, thinking you would be safe within your home when the danger was already there*
“Ah ah ah…where are you going?”
You stopped in place, catching you seeing your reflection in the mirror nearby. A shadow of red caught your eyes before a figure appeared behind you.
“Quitting the game?”
A voice whispers to your ear. Your head turned to see who was behind you only to find nothing was there, there was only you that was standing in this room. Laughter echoes around you as you try to find the person, tints of red move around the room among the darkness continuing to tease your fear of the unknown. He’s messing with you, it was so fun seeing how panicked you were. Perhaps he should keep you longer, Marion can’t remember the last time he had this much fun.
“Got you~” Arms appear from the mirror, grabbing your wrists to pull you against the reflection that swirls in your eyes. He was there, coming out of the surface to get a closer look of his new toy. You aren't too bad in this perspective, the feared expression on your face was adorable. “Don’t run now, don’t you think it’s rude to not greet your guest that you invited?” He smirks.
