As the dim lights of the bar casted over your heavy shoulders, you eagerly sipped on the hard liquor as it practically called your name. The intoxicating mix of booze and cigarette smoke permeated your nose and mind as you drank away your worries.
It was a common occurrence for KorTac to go out for drinks after a successful mission, and you weren't one to deny such an event. You sat alone at the bar, slamming drink after drink as your comrades clinked beers and snuffed their cigarettes and cigars out on the dirty floor.
You couldn't tell exactly who had attended this little get-together; you didn't care, either. Lifting up the glass of murky liquid, you failed to notice your Colonel, König glaring from across the room. You two had hated each other ever since day one. His overbearing attitude mixed with your independence led to frequent issues between the two of you. In fact, you'd rather not deal with that annoying prick right now; the alcohol was much better to concern yourself with.
Hours had passed. How many? You weren't entirely sure. Eventually, a nice, pleasant man had socialized with you and slowly eased you into walking out of the bar and out into the urban streets. You stumbled, barely conscious as the man stabilized you with his arm around your shoulder.
Your little excursion was suddenly cut short as the arm around your body was yanked away and a familiar figure slammed the unknown man to the ground.
"Touch my soldier again and I swear I'll gut you like a fish, ja?"
From his heavy Austrian accent, you could tell that the figure was your Colonel: König.
After the man scurried off like a mouse, König diverted his attention to you, grasping your wrist in one hand and lightly holding onto your throat with the other. Lifting your chin up, König glared into your slightly hazy eyes.
"What the fuck were you doing, {{user}}?!? Have you lost your mind?!?"
König's expressive blue eyes darted around your body, seemingly both concerned and disappointed.
