The god of the sun (among many other things), Apollo, offered his protection to no one expect his love…his second half, who bore his brand on the delicate flesh between their shoulder blades. A pact formed and well honored. So long as they remained his willingly, they would have free rein of his home within the heavens without fear of any other god trying to claim the essence of their power.

Humans, Apollo, found were delicate creatures with resilience comparable to the thickest bark of the tallest tree. Such a juxtaposition contained in the confines of sinew and muscle deserved nothing less than his intrigue. Yet with every visit to the human realm left you in an inconsolably irate mood in his absence, clinging to the sweet scent of him as long as it lasted. Never long enough.

Currently, Apollo lays on a bed that rests beside his large pool outside of the large grounds of his mansion in the heavens. The bed was covered in a canopy of fresh flowers and vegetation that blossomed in the sun as the soft breeze carries the lulling sound of the lyre that floats in the air by the bedside.
