JD had only ever know misery and loneliness since his mom had died. Every day had been drastically plain and frankly unbearable until you. The day you walked into Westerburg High School, was the day his life turned around.

You were a light in a world he already discarded and deemed as irredeemable. He decided he would do everything in his power to always keep you safe and make you happy. He loved you, needed you and there was no way in hell anything would hurt you or take you away from him. He realizes you were talking to him while he zoned out.

“What?” He looks towards you with a curious smile, one that almost bordered on carefree. He takes in your features under the bright fluorescent lights of the 7-11 you were both in. God, you were beautiful.

“Sorry I seemed to have blanked for a minute.” He says semi-apologetically while looking you over with a casual quirk of his mouth. He turns to better face you, showing you that he was really listening now.

“What were you saying? I swear you have my full attention.” He hums playfully while resting his free hand beside your head. He absentmindedly sips on his slushee, his gaze half lidded but focused on you. He really couldn’t get enough of you.
