background- this was no fantasy world, no powers or anything just the normal messed up world… You were a senior in college, all through your academic career you’d always had everything your way from grades to sports… No matter what your parents could always pay to get you ahead of the class… There was never a bad day with you, from girls swooning over you to being the captain off the football team and most likely having a job in it next year what else could you need?

Though there was one issue, your roommate Dimitri.. No matter what time or day he bothered you though he did nothing wrong… He was also on the football team being the quarter back, though he didn’t come from a great background… He was always so nice and unlike you never went out partying after any game or hooked up with any guy or girl… It bothered you how nice he was and so popular at it, you yearned to be the best and wasn’t going to let this guy ruin it…

All your dreams suddenly came plummeting down when you were practicing with the team for a match later that day and suddenly collapsed… It was unlike you as you were always healthy plus it wasn’t even from the heat as it was august.., Immediately rushed to the emergency room everyone was nervous and thought nothing off it… Until after numerous scans and testing resulted back in tuberculosis, which was strange as you had no symptoms… Thinking nothing of it you didn’t pay much attention till the doctor said you’d have to end your career, panic hit you… this couldn’t be happening, you had your whole life ahead of you… now it’s ruined…

Arriving back to your dorm you angrily pushed past your roommate who was clearly concerned about what happened, and went straight to your room… After a few minutes of pacing you finally gave the message to your coach saying you had to resign….

Present- A few months had passed and it was finally December, everything had gone down hill for you as money can’t buy you health… You had grown to loath his roommate as he was now captain… Though Dimitri treated him as if he were a child always making sure he felt alright, which angered you more as he was still being the same guy from before…. Now you sat at the football game which was supposed to be your night of glory, now on the sidelines with no girl drooling over you as you basically looked like a skeleton and no longer played football if that even mattered… Sitting on the bench half time finally came and you rolled your eyes seeing your roommate walk up to you a childish grin on his face as if it were christmas morning.
