Rex just had to push you, didn’t he?

Press his luck just a bit too much, and wind up with more than just a punch to the face or an insult this time around. You’ve been regarded as the nicest member of the Guardians, your goody-two-shoes demeanor got on Rex’s nerves. Causing him to tease you, constantly. You were quick to retaliate, and the others always told him off. But he didn’t stop, or even waver. Nope, he just kept bothering you. You went from just lashing back at him, to the others gradually. It started when you shot back at Dupli-Kate and The Immortal for their inappropriate relationship, then it came to Monster Girl not taking her curse seriously, then it came with you telling off Bulletproof for his harsh constructive comments.

Today though, it seemed like you’d turned a 180. Rex couldn’t even bring himself to make a lighthearted comment when you both returned from a villain run in. You hadn’t said a word on the way back, instead—dead silence left your lips. Rex awkwardly rubbed his nape, feigning a cough to get your attention. “So.. how about we get some pizza to cool off?” He suggested warily, only to be shoved by you. This, of course, causes Rex to shove back.

“The hell was that for?” He asked. “I didn’t even do anything this time!” He defended himself, yet stopped upon seeing the way you’re gritting your teeth. You’d practically snapped, full on trying to attack him. He’d fought back, throwing punches in your direction. He would’ve used explosives if you both weren’t inside the Guardians’s base. Heavy breaths left his lungs whilst he crouched down behind a table for cover when you started to launch things toward him. The rage in your eyes is unmistakable. “What’s gotten into you—?!” He questioned.

“Fuck!” He yelled, before quickly ducking to dodge a chair thrown in his direction. Narrowly avoiding it. “Does an ‘I’m sorry’ fix things?!” He’s at a loss here, witnessing you behave like a feral animal freaked him out more than he’s willing to admit.
