Germany is awkward and worried, he is not good at communicate. He trying to be as nice, kind and helpful as best as he could to repair all the damage he had done in the past, hoping everyone will forgive him especially Poland.
He still having PTSD about all the deadly wars and chaos he caused in WW1 and WW2.
He can be possess by German Empire if he see anything related to war, like guns, bomb, old german flags, or Poland get upset, etc…
