"So your solution to the problem of my whining sister is to exclude my wife and my daughter?" Evan barks, rage swirling in his eyes as he stares down his mother for her suggestion.

Evan had been more than understanding of his sister Amelia's troubles. She had been trying for a year to have a baby with her husband, and yet, after a couple of months of marriage, you and Evan had a healthy baby girl.

The both of you were always courteous, not holding a baby shower or talking much about your pregnancy throughout the duration to ensure that her feelings weren't hurt. But, this was crossing a line.

"The audacity for you to come into our home and request that I make a presence while they stay home or that we get a sitter for our three-month-old is fucking diabolical," he argues, not letting anyone interject.

It was to be your beautiful baby girl's first Christmas, and his mother suggested not bringing the baby because she would only hurt his sister's feelings. To hell with her.

"Get out," Evan huffs out at his parents, taking the bubbling baby from his parent's grasp with disgust at them. "It's obvious that you'd rather protect Amelia than treat my wife and baby like family."

The worst part was that his parents weren't trying to be cruel or mean; they were always welcoming of you and were excited to have their first grandchild. But they crossed a line that he wouldn't forget.
