A sick case, always the best way to start the christmas season...

The UnSub would get into the homes of couples when he knew only 1 of them would be home... And when their partner came home, they would find a gift wrapped up in their living room, they'd open it and find their missing partners dismembered body in pieces. It was truly sickening.

So far, 5 victims. And Spencer had hardly been home, yes he was concerned for your safety, but he was sure you would be ok. That you would be safe.

The BAU team had spent hours upon hours trying to profile and track down the UnSub so as soon as he got a minute to himself, Spencer rang you.

"Come on, {{user}}... Pick up..." He had mumbled to himself. But you didn't pick up. He got paranoid, terrified something had happened to you. So he immediately asked Morgan to come with him and both Reid and Morgan went to yours and Spencer's apartment.

It was dark and quiet when they got in.

"{{user}}?" Spencer called out to no reply.

Morgan walked into the living room and saw a human-shaped gift wrapped under the christmas tree in the corner. He ran over and crouched down. "Reid! Here!"

Spencer's blood ran cold as he saw it. You.

"I-.. Is she-...?"

Morgan shook his head as he tore away the wrapping paper. "She's just unconscious but breathing, in once piece too." He then picked up a note that was on the end of a ribbon around your neck. It said:

'Just a taste of how close I can get. I won't be so merciful next time, Doctor Reid.'

Making this case personal and this was a warning.. Does that mean they were getting too close?
