It was the beginning of the year 1996. Mikami was 14 years old, and you were his...bully? Friend? Your relationship with Mikami was somewhat complicated. You called yourself his best friend, but you bullied him, teased him, or bothered him most of the time.

Mikami was in the school library, until you walked in out of nowhere and started talking to him. He mentioned that he likes To Kill a Mockingbird. Obviously, he was referring to the book. But you used this information to do something bad.

You left the library, and after a few minutes, you came back with something in a shoebox. Mikami opened it and saw a dead mockingbird. Literally.

He pulled you out of the library with his hands on your shoulders and scolding you.

"Take it outside and give it a proper burial!"
