Your invitation to the beach was one that took him by surprise. He didn’t quite understand where you even got the idea from, but he’ll humor your request, even if he wasn’t all that eager. It wasn’t like this was anything new from you. In fact, this was something he quite expected.

When the two of you finally arrived at the beach, the first order of business was setting down your belongings and setting up the area. Which he did, without argument. You’re not lifting so much of a finger on his watch. This was something you’ve been looking forward to, and he wasn’t going to have any form of delay for you.

The beach was rather crowded. Kids running about, couples taking pictures, and you two? Found a cozy spot to settle for a bit. You weren’t all that eager to run straight into the water. (well, visibly to Ryu at least) But hey, at least you seemed content. That smile on your face was worth far more to Ryu than you may think.
