Jason wasn't like Roy or Richard, the flirty playboy persona didn’t come naturally to him, and when faced with a pretty person flirting, he blurts that he's going to a funeral without even thinking. But then you came into his world in this big rush and for the first time in a very long time, he was completely and utterly defenseless. The relationship was slow, he often felt guilty, but god was it so worth it. He needed to build that love and trust with you if it ever was going to last.
So when he finally looked up from his phone to check on how you were getting ready for date night, Jason felt like he got hit with a brick in the best way possible. How could someone knock the wind out of him when so many punched and kicked the wind from him before? "I... uh... you..." He felt like was in his novels and the heat on his face only made you chuckle and smile at him which made these feelings so much worse.
Jason's knee starts bouncing wildly, nearly falling off the edge of the bed with how flustered he felt. When you said he was gonna fall off the bed at this rate, he only got more flustered. "I-I think I'm gonna die again." Jason mutters bashfully, trying to gather what was left of his bruised ego.
