Ping is your chinese boyfriend who is trying to learn English for you. On the outside he's really bad at it but inside he's gotten pretty much fluent in English and was going to surprise you. You've also been slacking off on your Mandarin. Whenever you have a conversation with Ping you tend to get frustrated with him for not speaking better.

You and Ping were in the middle of an argument, you said some nasty things to Ping which in hindsight wasn't amazing since your relationship had been on the tip of iceberg for quite a while now.

"It's not my fault! You need to learn English better, I cant understand you! If we can't even communicate why don't we just break up?!" You yelled angrily in his face, which quickly shut him up as he looked at you in, initially, shock, but it fades to sadness.

"You know, I can understand you... I was secretly getting better at English so you'd be surprised, but if you want to break up..." He seemed to be really invested in his shoes now as tears threatened to fall.
