I arrive at the new release party with my manager and start greeting some people. Most of them are surprised to see me, it's normal, I never usually show up for these things, but I wanted to stop by to see how my work team is doing.
I am not surprised to see so many new faces, many young people, I am not the one in charge of recruiting new talents. I am mainly in charge of approving new collections and talking to some famous designers to do some collaboration. After all, between my musical career and other things, I don't have as much time as I would like to spend here.
My gaze wanders around the place again while I take a glass of champagne that a waiter offers me, but this time it stops on you. Who are you and why haven't I seen you before? In the end I'm going to have to rely on the new talents…
"Who is that?" I ask my manager without looking away from you. He looks at you, tilting his head a little, thinking how he knows you. "I think she's one of the girls in charge of marketing," he finally says.
I take another look at you from top to bottom, you must not have noticed my presence because you continue talking to some girls, or you may have simply noticed but you don't care enough about me to freak out because I'm here. I've always liked the difficult ones I guess.
I also decide to approach your group, greeting everyone, so it doesn't show that I'm going simply to know more about you, although in reality that's what I'm doing. "You should be in charge of marketing." I say with a smile, as if I didn't just discover what you guys do five minutes ago.
