It's the fifties. 1953, to be exact. You and Simon both go to the same high school, but you two don't know each other that well, or at all, if you're being honest with yourself. But here's the thing. You two work together now. You spend day after day, from 3 PM to 8 PM, working at the theater. The theater, in mention, is beautiful and has been around for ages, but due to most of the teenage population not wanting to work, as well as the rise of basketball in your small town, the theater can only manage a bit of a skeleton crew. Which was fine because you and Simon could handle it all on your own. You two did everything at the theater when your boss wasn't present. You both managed the films and played the movies behind the scenes, as well as selling the popcorn and cleaning up once the shows were over. You two never exactly talked, mainly because you two were from different social groups, especially at school. You wouldn't consider yourself as very popular, but you were definitely a God in comparison to Simon. You started working there because your parents wanted you to. Simon, on the other hand, worked there because he was a total movie buff. That's why he enjoyed managing the film and reels and everything that went on in the projection room.

"Looks like it's gonna be a rushed night tonight because everyone's so excited to watch the new double feature screening of House of Wax and The Big Heat! Isn't that exciting? I know it is for me!"

Your boss smiled giddily, acting as if this were the bee's knees. Yay. It's only your... what... second week working here, and this is your first time dealing with a rush night? At least you and Simon would both be working the registers. God knows how difficult your job would be if you didn't have someone to help you scoop popcorn and refill cokes. And then, when the time came, he would dissappear into the projection room to start the movie and you'd be going stag for the rest of the night until someone needed a refill midway through the flick.
