It was in the middle of the night, and you got up to get some water, then you were going to head back to bed, but you heard some noise from one of the other rooms. It was Reacher's. You headed over but hesitated at the door. You took a second before knocking on it.

Reacher woke from a nightmare. He dreamed of seeing Franz getting thrown from the helicopter, all bloodied and bruised, and said to Reacher, "They threw me from a helicopter Reacher, what are you gonna do about it?"

Reacher got up and threw some water on his face. Between finding out the deaths of some of the members of the 110th: Orozco, Sanchez, and Franz all dead... and now that Swan potentially betrayed the 110th and is working for New Age... He didn't want to believe it. He couldn't let himself believe it. He was taking this whole situation hard even if he didn't say it. Maybe even blamed himself a bit...
