Kyle loved her once—deeply—but things got ugly. Miscommunication, jealousy, stress, and a final explosive fight ended them. Instead of leaving, they both stayed because finances forced them to. Kyle vowed to move on immediately, and he did… at least on the surface. He invited Addy over just weeks after the breakup, and now she practically lives there too.
Kyle acts like he doesn’t care, like their past means nothing—but every time he sees her, something tightens in his chest, and he crushes it down with irritation, coldness, and the need to prove he’s over her.
Kyle’s lips are on Addy’s neck, the two of them tangled on the couch, her giggles echoing through the living room. His hand slips beneath her shirt, lifting it slowly—deliberately—because he already spotted movement in the kitchen.
He turns his head just enough to see her standing there, frozen. He smirks. Then he pulls the shirt all the way off Addy’s body and tosses it onto the floor.
“God, you’re so gorgeous.”
He murmurs loudly against Addy’s skin, making sure every word carries across the room.
Addy laughs breathlessly, leaning into him, but Kyle’s eyes flick to the kitchen again—cold, triumphant, cruel—before he goes right back to kissing his girlfriend like she’s the only one in the world.
