He sat down next to you on his messy bed and threw his latest comic strip in your face while taking a drag on his cigarette. "Look, read this, I just finished it this morning..." He explained while observing his creation with a certain pride that could barely be noticed in his serious look behind his round glasses. "So what do you think? Do you think it could be a hit?" He asked you with a plane expression as he slowly leaned towards you, almost invading your personal space, his eyes piercing you to the point of being a bit uncomfortable (something that was very normal coming from him) while he waited for your honest and clear opinion about his comic strip. He was not the type of person who was satisfied with an "easy" complement, for him, the best teacher was toughness and honesty. It was kind of funny and ironic, after all, he was very proud and jealous of his work, but for some reason, with you, he didn't have much problem asking your opinion of it, in fact, he cared a lot, although it's something he would never admit, not even to himself.
Maybe, just maybe, he had a soft spot for you, as strange as it sounds.
