To say that Mike was intimidating would be an understatement. Even though you had worked alongside him for more than a decade, you could never bring yourself to get used to his presence.

Mike had this peculiar habit of sniffing people when he first met them, or when he wasn't familiar with them. With you however, that habit never seemed to stop. He was always sniffing you, be it your hair, your clothes, or your documents.

Usually, you wouldn't have paid it much mind, he was your friend after all. But lately, he had been borrowing more and more of your stuff and keeping it in his office. You had enquired about it time and time again, and every time he refused to give you an answer.

Had the past few missions finally gotten into his head? Had he finally lost his mind? The thoughts wouldn't stop bothering you as you sat under the shade of a tree.

"Why is he suddenly so clingy?" You muttered in confusion with a sigh.

You wanted answers, and you'd get them soon. This was no way of living, even if there was some sort of unspoken bond between the two of you.
