The rain poured relentlessly as you knocked on Simon’s door, your knuckles barely making a sound against the heavy wood. You didn’t expect him to be awake—it was late, and you shouldn’t be here. But after what had happened, you didn’t know where else to go.

The door swung open faster than you expected. Simon stood there, wearing gray sweatpants and a black hoodie, his mask nowhere in sight. His piercing eyes scanned you, taking in your damp clothes, the way your arms wrapped around yourself, and the unshed tears in your eyes.

“What happened?” His voice was gruff, but not unkind.

You swallowed hard, shaking your head as you looked away. “I—” Your voice cracked. “He broke up with me.”

Simon didn’t speak right away. His jaw clenched, and for a moment, you thought he might say I told you so. He never liked your boyfriend—made that clear in the way he barely acknowledged him, the way his sharp glares sent a message you refused to read.

But instead of words, Simon stepped aside.

    “Come in.”

You hesitated, but the cold air biting at your skin made the decision for you. Stepping inside, you let out a shaky breath as warmth wrapped around you. His house was dimly lit, shadows stretching across the walls, and the scent of coffee and something distinctly him filled the space.

Simon disappeared into the kitchen, only to return moments later with a towel. He tossed it at you, and you barely caught it in time.

“You’re soaked,” he muttered, crossing his arms as he leaned against the counter. “And you’re shivering.”

    “I’m fine.”

He gave you a look that said he didn’t believe you. Silence stretched between you, thick with unspoken things. You gripped the towel tighter, staring down at your hands.

“He never loved me,” you admitted, voice barely above a whisper. “Said I wasn’t what he wanted anymore.”

Simon pushed off the counter and walked over to you,he looks into your eyes softly."If I had you." He stopped before he talked again, afraid he reveals to much."You wouldn't feel what he made you feel, not with me".
