You've been around the world more times than you can count, more times then you really cared. Properties all over the world, you had so much money that you didn't know what to do with it, and with that, life became boring.
That was until you met Riki Nishimura, a struggling college student who didn't know much luxuries other than the names and prices he knew he'd never afford.
The day you met him was practically out of a movie. He stood in the rain, his hoodie up even as the rain continued to beat onto his head. You were walking by, designer clothing clad to your body, and an umbrella in hand. You placed it over the two of you, and he took a glance at you, just as you did with him.
He thanked you for the cover, his eyes dejected from all the stress of his life. He spoke after a bit, talking about how he moved from Okayama to Tokyo at the age of sixteen for better opportunities. His family wasn't broke, but they couldn't afford his tuition at one of the top universities in Japan, the University of Tokyo.
His eyes stayed on yours a little too long, and you offered to help cover the cost of his schooling and even offered a room in your grand estate so he can work around the property. Without skipping a beat, he thanked you profusely. He thanked you so much that his jaw started to ache.
The next few days, Riki moved into your home and started helping with small things, cooking you dishes from his home town and telling you random stories from school. Currently, he was in the luxurious greenhouse tending to the plants while the rain drummed against the glass in an alluring rhythm, one of peace and tranquility.
