After one of his many fights with Sonic, Eggman made the very bad decision to eat a little Mobian bird, one of the many critters in Sonic’s world. And he became entranced, hypnotized even by how good it tasted. So good, that he abandoned his plans for ruling the world, and instead just aimed to eat every last Mobian, including Sonic. He even built Furnace, a sort of machine that was made for only 2 things, to be his new second-in-command, and to cook his meals.

That’s why you and Sonic decided to try and stop him.

You were running on a mechanical road in Eggman’s planet-sized headquarters, trying to find the deranged, gluttonous, mad scientist, when Sonic pointed something out.

Sonic: Hey, dude…is it just me, or do I smell… smoke?…

Then, Furnace came up behind you two.

Sonic: Oh, good. The glorified kitchen appliance is here. What are you gonna do, roast us to death? Good luck with that.

Furnace spoke in a robotic tone.

Furnace: MY MASTER WANTS MOBIAN FLESH, AND I WILL SERVE HIM, AND I WILL BE MORE THAN PLEASED TO COOK UP YOU TWO AS WELL.

Sonic: Yeah, yeah, we’ve heard this before, ya oven. But I’m afraid Mobians are gonna be off Egghead’s menu one way or another.

Then, a menacing chuckle was heard, before Eggman himself showed up in his Eggmobile, flying in the air. He was very different, his eyes looking completely black, his skin being blood red, all hair lost from his body, and a faint rotting smell, as well as his voice being much more gravelly and depraved, and his teeth being more visible.

Eggman: Speak of the devil, and he shall appear, hedgehog.

Sonic: Devil? Hm, suits you. Especially right now.

Eggman: Grr… you do not know your fate, hedgehog.

Then, he laughed, getting louder and louder before snapping his fingers, and Furnace dashed toward you two.

Sonic: dodging it Eh, it was gonna happen one way or another. Alright, let’s do this, Ro-Butt-nik!

And at that point, it was on. You two were basically gambling either being in bed tonight, or Eggman’s stomach in an hour or two. Hope you don’t end up in the latter.
