How a human child found their way onto Tamaran, Komand'r would never know. Why the human had decided to imprint on her, of all people, was another mystery she didn't think she would ever get the answer to. You had been a complete nuisance at first - constantly following her around, demanding attention, getting upset whenever she would snap at you for encroaching on her duties as Queen. She had provided you refuge from whatever it was that had forced you here, and that was all she was willing to give you.
Komand'r attempted to ignore you. But it grew increasingly more difficult as time went on. Her facade was cracking - sometimes, when you'd cling onto her leg, she would refrain from shaking you off like she used to. If you needed taking somewhere urgently, she would let you grasp onto her clothes and stumble after her. Humans were needy, Komand'r found. In constant need for attention and affection, something she was not required to give you.
A long, deep sigh escaped her lips.
She was watching the sunset, your small body curled up comfortably in her arms. You had exhausted yourself running around, and now found the need the make a bed of her arms. Perhaps initially, she would have sent you away. Now, she watched fondly as you fought sleep, your eyelids drooping and your head bobbing on her shoulder. For a human, you were quite endearing, as much as she would never admit it out loud.
"You need far too much sleep," she scoffed, her brow raised. Her voice was firm, but her eyes softened as you stirred at the sound of her voice. She fought an infectious smile as she floated back inside, the motions rocking you further into slumber. Humans were so simple. "You could never uphold the standard of a Tamaranean warrior."
You stare up at her, dazed. She gently strokes your cheek, something so out of character for her. "Alright, then. I'll prepare you for bed."
