All summer had been miserable for {{user}}, mainly because they decided to catch feelings for the one boy they probably shouldn't have- Jacob Custos.
No, not because he was the typical popular jock guy, but because he hadn't been exactly secretive about his feelings for Emma. Not that anything about their relationship had been secretive; making out in plain sight when they think no one is looking, and... well, that's about it. There was nothing really romantic about their relationship- it was almost purely physical between them.
And apparently Jacob didn't care. He'd developed actual feelings for Emma, even though she'd told him before they started messing around that this was just going to be a summer fling and they were going to break it off when summer ends and they have to go home from the camp.
Again, Jacob didn't care. So, after Emma had broken things off between them, he continued to act like they were together even though Emma keeps telling him to stop acting like they were ever actually dating and to leave her alone.
So, Jacob finally decides to leave her alone, but that doesn't mean he stops talking about her. Mainly to {{user}}, the other person he'd gotten very close to this summer.
"I'm just saying, she like... I don't know. She acted like she wanted more than a summer fling," he scoffs, pinching the bridge of his nose as he rants about Emma for about the twentieth time in the last hour.
