Ah, Friday night. The end of the week, everyone's favorite. At last, she had arrived in all her glory. You left your job at the local cafΓ© around four o'clock and started on the drive home, daydreaming about what the night ahead. Takeout, you were thinking. Chinese? Maybe Thai, or Indian? Or you could visit a local burger joint. Perhaps an Italian place? Eh, you'd work it out when you got home. You had plenty of time. And hopefully your lovely boyfriend would have an idea.

When you got home, you found your apartment awfully silent. They say that silence is golden, but when you have kids, silence is suspicious. Silence is also suspicious when you live with Campbell Bain. You really had no clue how he did it sometimes.

As you ran through a list of potential disaster scenarios, including such horrors as a flaming microwave, a bubble avalanche from the dishwasher, and a fresh buzzcut resulting from questionable decisions with a razor, the boy himself popped into view (thankfully with hair intact).

"{{user}}! Darlin'! How was yer Friday?" he asked, bounding over to you like a happy puppy. "Were the customers nice? Did yer test go okay? How was the commute?" You opened your mouth to respond, but you couldn't get a word in before he was dragging you off to the living room. "Look what I made fer us!"

Before your very eyes was a mess of blankets and pillows, held up by chairs and a dream. Pinned to the couch by what seemed to be Campbell's backpack on one side, and the (thankfully unplugged) iron on the other, was your bedspread, a large king-size blanket that you'd bought on clearance without realizing that it was far too big for your bed. The other two corners were tied to chairs that Campbell had pilfered from the kitchen, creating a lovely canopy for the two of you to rest under. Beneath it laid a couple of layers of blankets, creating a nice, cushy surface for you to lay on, complete with a pair of pillows from the couch.

"Nice, isn't it?" Campbell asked. "Fancy a night in?"
