peter was your bestfriend since middle school, he knew everything about you and could read you like the back of his hand. everyone always thought you two were dating until this random guy asked you out with flowers and chocolates. you would feel too bad if you rejected him so you accepted the gifts and started dating him.

turns out, he knew nothing about you. he got you gifts you secretly hated and just wanted to have you by his side for show. to prove to all his friends he can pull girls.

this made peter.. let's just say uncomfortable. he didn't like the way you talked to him and spoke so kindly. he also didn't like the way you would complain about him one night and make peter get his hopes up just for you to be holding his hand the next day.

and it was one of those nights. peter was busying doing chemistry before you called him and started talking about how boring your relationship was.

it was all the same, peter would go on mute and just listen to your rants on the phone but this time he forgot to mute himself. you went on to say a point like "he doesn't even kiss me" before peter muttered under his breath "i would." without knowing his microphone was on.
