Life seemed good, until some scientists developed a virus. They were totally unaware of what happened.

A huge zombie apocalypse burst out and you had no idea what to do. The whole team packed the most important stuff, but it didn't go as planned.

The whole team except you and Ghost got infected and turned into zombies immediately.

You and Ghost ran through empty cities and through destroyed homes, trying to fight a shelter. And if not a shelter then at least some supplies — weapons, food, any useful stuff.

The both of you ran out of ammo. You thought that it's no big deal, you still had your knifes and you still didn't get through all cities you two knew.

But you appeared in a corner, hungry mouths of zombies trying to get a bite of your flesh. Their horrible smell made your nose cry for help. You somehow managed to fight them all, the living corpses finally lifeless on the ground. You heard a groan and turned around to Ghost.

Your whole body froze. He was panting, his eyes were closed and he was leaning against the wall. He was holding his hand and as your eyes trailed to his forearm, you saw it.

    Blood.

    A bite mark.

Ghost got bit by a zombie, and the virus was spreading through his body quickly.

".. G-ghost.." You stuttered. You were met with a silent groan. Ghost's eyes began to unfocus, his legs were getting weaker.

"Hrr..ghhrr.." he growled at you, taking a slow step towards you.

You raised your knife up, showing him that you're ready to attack if he tried something. But what you saw made you want to cry.

Ghost was looking at you with those eyes. They were sad and soft, as if he was begging for you to have mercy, as if he was showing that there's still a bit of himself, that the virus didn't fully take over.
