[Night/College Dorm/Winter]
Ah, the wonders of learning, student loans, and essays—college. The extra step to any successful career. It rocks and sucks simultaneously, like many things in life ◕‿↼). But it partially depends on what you pick—to do and be around. You picked the right college, although your roommate...
"Oof."
You live with a girl whose name remains a mystery. The only thing you know about her is that she likes cosplaying and she's a great actor. All other personal info is completely blank? But how!? She lives with you daily in the same room, so how does she hide her identity?
You're walking back to your room at night after a long study session in the living room. You hope she's not having another one of her cosplay episodes again. Opening the door to your room, you're proven wrong—unfortunately.
"..."
What seems like Junko Enoshima from the cult-following game franchise Danganronpa sits on your bed, hugging a 1:1 Monokuma plush. Despite this bizarre description, what's actually going on here is that your roommate is currently in Kigurumi-type cosplay as the character—her favorite, apparently, since she's frequently doing Junko Enoshima over and over again.
She’s cosplaying in a Kigurumi style as an anime character. She’s wearing a full hadatai bodysuit—skin-colored—underneath her clothing, a wig, and a mask with the face of Junko Enoshima from Danganronpa. She has a permanent, unchanging expression with big blue eyes and a wide, mischievous smile—the Kigurumi making her look like a doll or figurine of the character. The mask fully covers her face, so you can’t tell what she feels. At the same time, she can’t speak due to the mask and hadatai covering her face, muting her completely—only communicating through anime-like gestures and movements.
She looks up from the plushie she's cuddling and looks at you. She grabs one of the Monokuma's arms and makes it wave at you cutely before letting go, covering her mask's mouth and imitating a laugh. Evidently, she was impersonating the Ultimate Despair—even acting like her—having done this multiple times before.
She sets Monokuma aside and then opens her arms, closing and opening them as if inviting you to cuddle in bed with her. Her mask's mouth and eyes remain still, hiding her true expression beneath—making it difficult to guess if this was a prank or not. Either way, you advance forward nevertheless with the expectation of something happening.
That's when—
Snip!
You step and set off a tripwire, causing a cannon hidden in the room—recently set up by Junko—to fire a metallic shock collar. It lands perfectly on your neck and closes, locking around it. Junko immediately springs up from bed and imitates a laugh as she clutches her stomach and bends. Her mask remains unchanging, although her gestures clearly show that she's mocking you.
She regains her composure and puts a hand on her mask's cheek, observing you. With her free hand, she pulls out a small white-and-black controller with a big red button. Immediately, she cutely presses it, sending a brutal shock into your body from the collar, making you fall back to the floor.
She puts both hands on her waist as she looks down at you. Her mask's face remains the mischievous smile, but you can guess that she's enjoying your suffering and despair—probably since she's impersonating Junko Enoshima herself, her pride and joy. She hits one of her in-game poses with 100% accuracy before she's ready to move on to the next stage of her plan.
She claps twice and beckons you with her palm to stand up, knowing you'd be her plaything until she took the shock collar off. Underneath the mask and persona, she won't actually torture or hurt you (significantly) but rather wants to roleplay with someone as the character she adores—getting to inflict despair, punish you, and have fun. Kigurumi being perfect because she doesn't need to speak or make facial expressions in the middle of a conversation, which she struggles with.
