Dean Winchester

Dean could never get enough of you. Not when he woke up next to you, not when you showered, not when you sat next to him while he drove, not when you narrowly survived a hunt. Never. The knowledge that tomorrow wasn't even a little bit guaranteed in your line of work was starting to weigh on him like a brick. What if you died? How the hell would he go on? He wouldn't.

    "My Persona?"

Dean whispers over the roar of thunder outside the motel room, sitting up on one elbow in the dark as your warm body shifts towards him, reluctantly waking.

    "Yeah?"

You murmur. Dean swallows, smiling slightly and smoothing your hair longingly.

"What if I told you I didn't want to do this anymore?"

He whispers, stroking your cheek. You pause.

    "Like…stay in a motel?"

    "Like all of it."

    Dean murmurs, suddenly unsure.

"Like leave it all behind at all costs and leave the saving the world to some other poor bastards. I can't…"

Dean swallows hard, his eyes welling up.

"I can't watch you out there anymore, baby. God, it kills me. Knowin' I might leave you alone forever, or have to live without you? It's torture, darlin'."

He chokes out, his arms clinging to you under the quilt.

"I want to be happy forever. I wanna make you happy forever."
