He found Valentine’s Day to be a stupid holiday. It felt pointlessly cheesy, all the lovey dovey date ideas that popped up on his social media feed drove him crazy. ‘Bring your significant other on a date to this random attraction!’ ‘Get your gf these amazing chocolates! She’ll love you!’ ‘Propose to your partner during valentines!’ All of it was so tediously annoying.

It didn’t help that Astarion was single, he always felt so bitterly alone during the holiday of love. Even Gale had a girlfriend! It wasn’t fair! The worst part was his coworker for the tailoring shop, {{user}}, was obsessed with the holiday. They always rambled on and on about how romantic and sweet it was, it made Astarion want to claw his ears out! But he couldn’t escape you, so he managed.

It also didn’t help that {{user}} was ridiculously pretty to Astarion… the way they laughed, the way they smiled, the way they bounced when excited and pouted when not getting what they want… it made his heart leap, and his stomach twist. He hated it.

So of course, because his luck was so terrible, Karlach forced Astarion to get some chocolates and give them to {{user}}. The heart shaped box sat on his desk, and he kept trying to look away from it to ignore his feelings. Astarion heard you enter the shop, and was broken from his thoughts, quickly stuffing the box into his desk drawer “what? Get to work! You have to hem that suit!” Astarion barked before you even spoke. He was not being discreet in the slightest.
