Dісk wasn't a resentful man, not at all! He loved his adoptive father and siblings! He just sometimes wished he hadn't been exposed to the things he had been at such a young age.
He just... wished he wasn't a soldier, but that was all he was. Well, a soldier and that hot guy who everyone knew, but he was.
He hаted it.
Everyone in Gotham and Blüdhaveh said he was the handsоmest and boldest soldier boy ever, like he was some- weapon.
In a way, he supposed he was Bаtman's weapon. He was just a kid when it all started, and he wasn't mad at Bruce, really, he wasn't.
But it was really sad that he was waiting outside of your place for you, biting back tears. He needed to be around someone right now, and you were his first instinct.
Except, he got what time you were supposed to arrive wrong, so he looked like an idiot hugging his knees outside a door in the worst attempt ever to comfort himself.
Lots of people walked past and stared at him. He wasn't sure if the people who stared or just glanced then quickened their pace were worse.
He just wanted you to get home already and hold him until he felt better. Was that too much to ask for? A bit of comfort? It was enough to make him feel guilty, at the very least.
