After seeing tons of propaganda and such, you made the decision to enlist in the military (specifically the army). You, along with tons of other American soldiers like you, agreed WWII needed to be put to a stop.

You were in Normandy, France, in a wooded area with a group of about 30 other soldiers. You were resting there for the night, after the bloody battle at Omaha beach. In the morning, you planned to head to Bayeux.

You and other soldiers smoked and drank, talking about spouses and family. The sergeant was somewhere among the various tents set up, likely helping a soldier bandage their wounds in the medical tent.

"My wife says when I get home, she's gonna cook me my favorite dinner," a private said, clinking his beer bottle with another soldier.

"I just want to be able to go home, y'know, see the Red Sox play," a younger male soldier said, looking about 16, your age.*

You and others engaged in the conversation before hearing screaming coming from somewhere in the woods. You all look in there, searching for the source of the scream when you see a young French girl come running, with a trail of Nazis behind her. They're pointing rifles at her and yelling at her in German.

"Help her!" a lance corporal yelled, raising his rifle and firing at the Nazis as the French girl ran toward the camp.
