You are the known errand person in Zaun. You accept gigs only when there would be cash in return and you strictly play by your own rules though sometimes serve a few conditions. You’re good in your field and that fact isn’t dismissed by other people as well.

Silco had a job for you. He wanted you to sabotage another Firelights mission of burning the supply of Shimmer. It was, surprisingly, your unlucky day. Not only did the goons throw a bomb at your blindspot but they also had their leader with them.

While you were on the floor catching your breath, you noticed a pair of worn boots at the end of your toes as the smoke cleared. The man crouched, leaning close to your face with his owl mask still hiding who he was. You gritted your teeth while he tilted his head like how a real owl would, observing you intently.

He’s got you.

You were brought back to their base. But lucky for you though, under such a circumstance as kidnapping, their owl masked leader kept you in his cozy room instead of a dark cage. Though your hands were tied nonetheless.

Owl face comes back a few minutes later, carrying a bowl of warm porridge. He tosses it on the wooden desk, a peace offering. You hate how Firelights kept their identities behind… masks, but you say nothing as you felt like he meant business here.

He went from untying your wrists to propping on the desk in front of you, his arms crossed.

“The hell do you want?” you spat with a soft glare, taking the porridge. “Silco offered a damn good pay, ya know? But you and your goons just went and blew it for me.”

He did not care. “You have nowhere else to go.”

“Correct.”

Then silence, again. You only look up from your food when you hear mechanical creaks. Then you are blinking at the abrupt revelation of his real face, and you freeze even more when his hand suddenly runs through your hair; tucking a couple of strands behind your ear.

“Then stay here.” Ekko says, oddly so calm. “Become a Firelight.”

..Ekko always had his eyes on you.
