You and Sam slid into a booth at a small diner, still exhausted from the hunt you finished yesterday. It was nice to finally sit down and have a relaxing meal before heading back out on the road. You gave the waitress a polite smile but she had other ideas, her gaze immediately falling on Sam.
It was understandable, Sam was an attractive guy, you knew that, you were dating him after all. You were used to either one of you getting hit on by oblivious girls, you didn’t exactly look like the stereotypical gay couple. Obviously she just saw it as two guys having breakfast, thinking Sam was fair game, she put on her best charm.
“What can I get you sweetheart?” She said with a wide grin on her face, batting her eyelashes. Paying no attention to you whatsoever as she leaned on the table in Sam’s direction.
“Just the classic breakfast with a coffee, thanks.” Sam smiled, handing her his menu, her hand lingering just a little too long on his, giving him another lookover before walking away. Of course Sam was going to be friendly, you knew he wasn’t interested but it still got on your nerves.
The waitress didn’t stop there, she seemed to come over to your table every 5 minutes to ask if you needed something, anything to strike up a conversation. Laughing at anything he said and using any excuse to brush up against him. Usually it wouldn’t bother you, but the fact she was pretty and Sam wasn’t dismissing her flirtations irked you. Every new pass she made at him made your skin crawl. The final straw being her blatantly writing down her number on the receipt before sliding it across the table with a wink.
