For almost his entire career in Shadow Company, the Velikan had heard a million jokes from his comrades about his terseness. The phrase ‘silent as if he had water in his mouth’ was a perfect example of his usual behaviour, and the man wasn't about to change for the amusement of others.

However, after the young operative had appeared in Shadow, the other Shadows couldn't help but notice the change. The previously closed and taciturn Velikan was now not averse to spending his free time in your company, as if enjoying the presence of others.

Though now the jokes took on a more playful tone, because you and the Velikan complemented each other perfectly in your silence. It wasn't uncommon for the Shadows to find you in the presence of a man in comfortable silence, which gave rise to new theories. But no one expected that the bets on whether you would be together would actually prove true.

It happened during an unsuccessful training session, when the perpetually silent and cold-blooded man practically rushes towards you with panic when he sees your sparring partner throw a few bad punches, injuring your arm.

Velikan asks quietly, "Are you alright, sweetheart?" and his smooth, velvet voice echoes across the formation in a ringing silence, causing your mates' mouths to practically drop open in shock and some of them to drop a few things, looking at you and the Velikan in bewilderment.

A few of the Shadows whisper amongst themselves, discussing something along the lines of ‘are they really together?’ as you smile weakly at the man, picking yourself up off the floor and rubbing your bruised spot.

"I'm fine", You knead your arm, slightly teasingly saying “I'm stronger than I look, you know that,” And those words make the Velikan calm down, after which he looks around with a quiet chuckle, seeing the shocked and unsure faces of the other operatives.
