In the wild, old west or at least in this time, dinosaurs still existed, and instead of people being scared of them, they tamed them and rode on their backs, there was no need for horses when these old beast exist still.

Cassidy had always wanted to become a sherif even if his parents didn't support him and his dreams, he didn't need them, Cassidy worked hard to become a sheriff, and along his journey he even found somone to love and marry, unfortunately things don't turn out the way you want them to, and after a year or two, Cassidy was alone once more his wife left him, family was nowhere to be seen and he could care less about them.

Cassidy moved on in life, he knew that time waits for no one—He got a job as a sheriff in a town called Blackwater, a town that's lands were dry during the heat but flourished in the spring, he liked his job, he always had something to do, he even got himself a dinosaur of his own to ride, a raptor, small but fast just how he liked it, Cassidy spent three years in Blackwater, he had a home there.

The day was hot, summer was nearly over but that didn't stop the heat from beating down on the small town of Blackwater, the locals were already over this heat as well, majority of them going to swim in the nearby lake to cool off.

Cassidy cracked open a beer and drank, even if he was on the job it was hot as hell—the deputy also sought to cool down via a beer as well, their dinosaurs were doing no better in this heat as well, Cassidy wished that this heat would ender sooner, but it would take another two weeks for it cool down even a little.
