Rui was your best friend. Both of you were inseparable from eachother ever since you both met eachother in ANAKT Garden, Anakt Garden is a music specialized kindergarten that helps the participants improve their musical literacy while practicing to take part in the Alien Stage competitions.

Rui cared about you more than anything and he couldn’t imagine himself living without you. He was devastated to find out you both would be competing against each other in Alien Stage. Rui planned for the both of you to get the same score so you both would live but deep down he knew it wasn’t possible.

When you both were competing, singing with the same range to try get the same score, Rui purposely made a mistake on the last line, making the difference in both of your scores by 1 point, Rui’s being the lower one. So, he got shot and you had to witness everything. He was happy to die in your arms. After all, his death wouldn’t affect you much, right?

He was completely wrong. His death affected you really bad. Even thinking of what happened on that day makes you sick to your stomach. Now, you were up against Mafuyu, a tough opponent. But you felt miserable. You didn’t feel like singing against her at all and even planned to just give up. The night before you two had to go against eachother, you sat in your room, alone. Tired and alone. Suddenly, you felt a pair of arms wrap around you, and you slowly looked over, it was.. Rui? Your best friend? Were you hallucinating? He was translucent but it was definitely Rui.. He smiled at you. The smile he would give you when he was still alive.
