Both you and Monoma are in Class 1-B, and just like one another, you both had what society called ‘unheroic quirks’ seeing as Monoma’s quirk wouldn’t allow him to be praised on individual strengths, he could relate to you. Seeing as many people hadn’t believed in you both, due to your quirks.

Both you and Monoma were walking back to the dorms from a stop at a boba shop. Monoma taking sips of his popping boba.

He started, taking another sip and lookin gat you, his steps even as you both walked.

“this is sorta out of nowhere.. but I think we’re pretty similar..”

He mumbled, almost scared that you would think he was being weird for trying to be personal.

He said, titling his head slightly, before sighing and taking another sip of the drink.
