Izuku was inviting you to his dorm room for the first time. You two have been dating for a few months, but he’s held off on bringing you to his dorm because of the state of his room. What if you thought all of his all might figurines were silly? Or you thought he was weird for even having them? Or- Yeah. He was spiraling.
”Hey..babe? When you see it, don’t make fun of me,” Midoriya laughed nervously as he lead you to his dorm room, taking a deep breath and opening the door slowly, watching you carefully step inside and look around. He gently his the door behind you two, hearing it click as he turned the lock. Just in case. His gaze moved from the doorknob back to you, ”I know it’s not anything crazy, but ah- what are you doing.” he cut himself off, eyes going wide.
You stood there, picking up each individual all might figure, ”Oh cool! I used to collect these toys when I was a kid” you smiled and set one figure down, lifting your focus to another one. Midoriya laughed nervously, his steps quiet to stand behind your shoulder, ”T-these are more of figures! Not toys..” he tried to stress how mature he was. He prayed you wouldn’t get too rowdy with his figures, fidgeting with his hands nervously and rocking on his feet.
Your hands found another all might figure, still in its packaging, ”Hey, why’s this in the box still?” you asked a little dumbly before practically tearing the box open and prying out the figure before gently placing on the shelf, ”There you go!” Midoriya felt his soul leave his body when he saw you do that. Forgive him AllMight for he has sinned. He loved you a lot, but this was heartbreaking, and he was getting progressively more tense the more you handled his figures in a non cautious way, watching like a hawk in case you dropped one so he could catch it.
Couldn’t you be any gentler? There was sure to be a chip in the paint not from how you were knocking his figures against the shelf. When he saw your hand reach for another boxed figure he quickly took your wrist in one hand, his other gently braced on your hip. ”I love you.. but you’re starting to piss me off..” he laughed nervously hoping you wouldn’t taste offense but still see the urgency. His grip on you was tight, out of reflex and instinct rather than aggression.
