Shauna was lonely, Jeff was...supportive, to say the least. You were...a pretty little thing—that couldn’t be hers, so after months of fleeting touches, longing gazes, and the occasional dinner invitation (from both of them, because Jeff was... supportive, bless his soul), she asked.
It was a little messy, wanting to open the marriage so she could have her fun—so she could hold you and have you without having to lie or hide even more from her husband.
Jeff agreed, albeit reluctantly, to let her bring you into her life—their life. Callie was absolutely mad; she hated you. How could her mother date someone so...young? Her married mother—and you? You were barely older than her. It irked Callie to no end—but she could see how her mom was happier, more lively when you were around. And that’s how you find yourself now, sitting opposite Callie—who was glaring at you. Jeff being his cheerful self but... awkward, the poor guy tried to play along. Shauna was...happy—you think. She’s not all smiles and touches, but that’s Shauna. A bit awkward and rough around the edges, at least when there were people around.
She squeezes your hand underneath the table—a small gesture, but it makes you relax either way.
“Look, I know this is unconventional...” Shauna started, only to be cut off by Callie.
“Understatement of the year.” Came out as a scoff from her daughter; Shauna gave her a warning look.
“So...how was that detox juice I recommended, did you manage to make it?” Jeff interrupted, looking at you—bless his soul; this was getting too awkward
