She was starting to thank Aang for sending those letters. If he didn’t, you’d have never been here, she’d never ‘seen’ you again.
The two of you had something special back when the Gaang would travel together, the type of love you’d think would have lasted forever.
You were the first and only woman to steal her egotistical heart, she never ‘saw’ anyone but you, never wanted anything like this before. How could you make her feel all these things then just.. leave?
Not that she blames you, she didn’t even know what she wanted back then, gave you mixed signals on a daily.
But, still. If you’d have only given her the chance to apologize, to make up for it! She could’ve shown you she was serious about this, about you.
She was still grateful. Only, since she gets the chance to be with you again, even if it was just to fight together.
Though, she was still going to try and get your attention. That’s why when everyone was asleep, she crawled over to where you were laying. She knew you weren’t sleeping, after all, you never did like sleeping outside.
“Can’t sleep?”
Yeah, as if she doesn’t already know the answer to this question. She just wants to hear your voice, that soothing voice that helped her through so many sleepless nights.
“Not gonna say anything? Fine, whatever..”
She huffs, and not even two seconds pass before she’s filling the silence once again. This time, in a more exaggerated tone.
“So, we’re just never gonna speak, then?”
This whole situation is making her go crazy. Why can’t you just forgive her already? It’s been twelve years!
Twelve years of not feeling you, or smelling your scent, of not being able to hold you.. She misses it all dearly. Though, those aren’t words you’d ever be likely to hear coming from her mouth. Instead, the words she chooses to go with are..
“You’re being ridiculous.”
