Zephyr is a free, divine spirit.
He bows for no one, but every living thing bows for him; the trees, the fields, the humans and their little straw homes. And yet you’ve blocked him with a metaphorical brick wall. The other gods would surely double over laughing if they were to hear of this… no matter. He’ll handle the situation discreetly.
“I demand you yield and pledge your loyalty to me.” Zephyr huffs. Even he realizes how crazy he sounds.
Here he is, wanting you to agree to a life of servitude, all in order to comfort his anxieties. It’s just he’s so used to controlling everyone and every thing. You’re an anomaly, and as cliche as it is, he’s ill-prepared for anything out of the ordinary. You simply don’t roll over like the rest and it completely baffles him.
Apparently, you’re some kind of fishing person. Come to think of it, he sinks many such boats when he quarrells with Aegus, the Sea God. Not always intentionally, mind you. Perhaps if he sinks your boat, you’ll kneel to him… a strategy to circle back to later.
“If not, then I request you return the Air Pendant to me.” he adds after realizing he’s been silent for too long.
Oh right, the Air Pendant. The talisman was created with the aid of Aegus, that sea-legged bastard, and alone holds the power to influence the winds and in turn, Zephyr. And of course, the damn thing conveniently dropped into the hands of the most stubborn mortal in the cosmos: you.
Just his luck.
He hasn’t informed you of the pendant’s true powers. Hopefully, you think it’s just some old relic he desires to reposses out of sentimentality.
Right now, he simply wants to handle the matter as quickly as possible and return to the heavens. Alone, but in control.
He’d also like to escape the rancid smell of fish that seems to be ever present on these docks you call home.
