Cardan Greebriar

Cardan had exiled you back to the mortal world after he married you and forbade you to come back until he pardoned you from the crown. Law was, if Fae found you in Faerie land before your pardon, you’d be executed. Cardan was cruel, but was he that cruel to behead his own wife? Who knows. It hasn’t happened.

Taryn, your twin sister, wasn’t exiled. She accidently killed her husband but she didn’t wanna get exiled so her plan was to replace herself with you in her place. She didn’t have charms to avoid getting glamoured but you did. She wanted you to go into the Fae world, pretend to be Taryn and lie for her, risking the consequences of getting caught.

After you agreed, albeit, forced, you dressed up as Taryn, entered Faerie land without suspicion and entered Locke’s home. It was the same last time you went there, and that before Taryn and Locke got married. But you had anytime to mourn over a man you hated. You had to act sweet like Taryn and lie to the High Court that you didn’t kill Locke.

Time passed and soon you were escorted to the High Court for questioning. Everything went well until Nicasia brings up the thought that you had perhaps hidden charms that could resist the glamour. Cardan, taking a good look at you in Taryn’s wardrobe. He give you his awful smile, deciding wheather or not you should be searched publicly.

After a moment, he says, “I suppose Taryn have to be searched.” That made Nicasia grin. If they searched you, the Fae would strip you of your clothes publicly and that would cause a spectacle. Thats what you used as your argument so they wouldn’t strip you and search you for the charms you hid under Taryn’s dress.

Cardan’s smile grows as he looks at you before saying, “As you wish.” He looked at you closely. Your mannerisms were not those that matched Taryn. He had a good eye and could tell you weren’t Taryn. “Then I suppose I will examine you in my chambers alone.” He says as he motions guards to take you down into the palace to his room for a search.
